ABSTRACT.
To improve the water environment and solve the complexity and uncertainty caused by the active and dynamic crossover and information asymmetry between participation in the wastewater treatment process of the coal industry in China. A three-party game model involving government departments, coal enterprises, and sewage treatment enterprises was established by using the evolutionary game theory, and equilibrium solutions simulation analysis was carried out by system dynamics. The results indicated that under the government departments’ static reward and punishment control scenario, the pure strategy Nash equilibrium solutions and the mixed strategy Nash equilibrium solutions of the evolutionary game are neither ideal nor stable. The wastewater treatment strategy of coal enterprises is negatively influenced by the wastewater discharge behaviour of some individuals, which gradually leads to all coal companies choose to wastewater discharge. However, under the government departments ‘ dynamic reward and punishment control scenario, the simulation results reflected that the strategy choices of game participants can reach a stable strategy. The calculation verifies that this stable strategy is an evolutionary stable equilibrium solution. Ultimately these findings guide for government departments to address the problem of coal enterprises’ wastewater pollution to protect the water environment.
