Dear Colleagues,

An optimal control problem means endogenously controlling a parameter in a mathematical model to produce an optimal output, using some optimization technique. The associated mathematical models are formulated as systems of ordinary, partial, or stochastic differential equations or discrete dynamical systems, for both scalar and multi-criteria decision-making contexts. The aim is to encourage new developments in optimal control theory and  design methodologies that may lead to advances in real control applications. Optimal theories are encouraged in the development of computational algorithms for solving optimal control and optimization problems. Topics in optimization algorithms for control are relevant such as static and dynamic optimization techniques, nonlinear programming, constrained control, and dynamic programming. Within the framework of “Dynamic Control Theory and Applications,” several novel approaches or algorithms can be expected, including but not limited:

Optimal control in multi-agent systems
Predictive control and modelling
Process optimization
Optimal nonlinear and robust control
Numerical analysis of Uncertain systems
Stochastic systems
Nonlinear optimal control
Optimal adaptive control
Dynamic programming and analysis
Optimal control applications
Numerical analysis of optimal filtering and estimation
