ABSTRACT.
Coal and gas outburst involving complex influencing factors causes big hazards. Quantitative analysis is needed for accurate prediction of coal and gas outburst. Non-linear transformations were performed on the index values of interval numbers with different dimensions and attributes such as gas content, gas pressure, initial gas emission velocity and coal seam solidity coefficient to meet comparability requirement. Positive and negative prospect utility value function corresponding to each index was calculated based on positive and negative ideal bull’s-eye of each index after standardized processing. Combining weight of each index, the optimal integrated prospect value of each mining face was calculated to obtain the optimal solution. Combining data of four mining faces in a mine, validity and feasibility of the model were verified by examples.

Keywords: Coal and gas outburst, interval number, different dimensions and attributes, bull’s eye, optimal integrated prospect value.
