ABSTRACT.
In order to promote the application of ultra-thin fireproof coatings to building structures, three concrete-filled square steel tubular (CFSST) columns were protected by ultra-thin fireproof coating. A full-scale fire test was performed under the ISO 834 standard fire to determine its fire resistance limit. A finite element model for calculating the fire resistance of concrete-filled square steel tubular columns protected by ultra-thin fireproof coating was established. The simulated results are in good agreement with the experimental results; therefore, the model can be used to calculate and analyze the fire resistance limit of concrete-filled square steel tubular columns protected by ultra-thin fireproof coating.
