ABSTRACT.
In order to study the application of pre-splitting crack in the damage control of blasting vibration in high slope, the numerical simulation was used to explore the effect of parameters of the pre-splitting crack, like the distance to the explosion center, the length, the depth, the width, etc., on its vibration reducing performance. And this technology has been applied to protect the high slope of the foundation pit in the Shanxi Jinduicheng Open Pit, which achieved remarkable effect in vibration reducing. This research result is helpful in guiding the proper use of pre-splitting crack in the protection of the high slope in open pit.
