ABSTRACT.
As the most intuitive feeling of public residents for social services in the community, public social service satisfaction is an effective benchmark to measure the quality of community social services, and also an important reference index of social service supply side reform. On the basis of “Survey on the Change of Living Space and Social Service System of Floating population”, the research group modelled and analyzed the current situation and influencing factors of social service satisfaction of community residents in China. The results show that: Firstly, 57.1% of the respondents are satisfied with the social services in their communities, but there are regional differences. Second, there is a serious imbalance between supply and demand in the community social services available, and eight out of ten have imbalanced supply and demand order. Thirdly, OLS regression results show that variables such as community type, local discrimination and service seeking willingness have a very significant impact on residents’ satisfaction with social services in their communities. Finally, it is concluded that the current supply side problems of community public services in China can be solved by improving the communication channels between supply and demand of social services and building a classified supply system of social services.
