ABSTRACT.
With the government’s emphasis on the cultivation of cultural quality, “reading for all” and “construction of spiritual civilization” have become the main aspects of cultural quality cultivation. As a national talent training base, colleges and universities are an important part of the spiritual and cultural construction, in which the university library is the core of the school’s cultural resources. Therefore, it is very important to study and analyze the participation motivation and participation degree of reading promotion in university library. Based on the reading promotion motivation at home and abroad, this paper sorts out seven motivation factors and three participation dimensions, which are conformity, making friends, achievement, information acquisition, self-development, interest, profit, contribution, participation frequency and emotional input. In addition, this paper also collected data by questionnaire, and used correlation analysis and regression analysis to analyze the variables of data. The results show that different participation motives have different effects on participation, among which conformity, reading promotion and profit have significant positive effects on contribution, participation frequency and emotional input The research analysis provides the corresponding experience for the efficient library in improving the user participation and also provides the reference for the later research.
