ABSTRACT.
Sports industry belongs to the key development industry of our country, which is an indicator to measure a country’s comprehensive national strength. As the backbone of the industrial structure, sports industry’s development degree has a huge impact on a country’s social and economic development. In this paper, the grey correlation analysis method is used to analyze the relationship between sports industry investment and economic development in China. The results show that it can help us to solve many practical problems. Today, sports industry is in an increasingly important position in China, the sports practitioners’ indicators have the highest correlation with sports service industry and sports manufacturing industry, and the relationship with social and economic development More closely, this shows that the investment in the service industry of sports industry can promote the absorption of labor force, thus promoting the employment of residents and increasing the income of residents. Combined with the four industries under the sports industry and economic correlation analysis, sports construction industry belongs to the industry with the lowest degree of economic correlation.
